DAYS 1-2: Mumbai, India
Depart by air for Mumbai.
DAY 3: Mumbai
Arrive in Mumbai where your room is available for immediate occupancy. This afternoon visit the Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan and view the Dhobi Ghat. Tonight join fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.
DAY 4: Mumbai/Udaipur
An A&K Exclusive private cruise through Mumbai Harbor brings you to the rock-cut cave temples on Elephanta Island. Later, fly to Udaipur.
DAYS 5-6: Udaipur
Spend two days in the lovely city of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace and the "Garden of the Maids of Honor," and take a private tour of the Crystal Gallery. Explore the temples of Eklingji and Nagda, with a private cruise to Jag Mandir. One evening enjoy a private dance performance during dinner.
DAY 7: Udaipur/Ranakpur/Jodhpur
Today visit the Jain pilgrimage center of Ranakpur. After lunch, continue to Jodhpur.
DAY 8: Jodhpur
After breakfast, visit a Bishnoi village, the Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada.
DAY 9: Jodhpur/Jaipur
After a morning at leisure take an afternoon flight to Jaipur.
DAYS 10-11: Jaipur
A tour of Amber Fort precedes an elephant ride at a local Indian village accompanied by a professional mahout. Also visit Jantar Mantar Observatory and view the "Palace of the Winds." Your Design Your Day options include a spice market tour and Thali dinner; a journey through the Moghul empire with a Royal historian; a private yoga session; or some time with a personal shopper.
DAY 12: Jaipur/Agra
Travel overland through rural India with stops at Fatehpur Sikri and Bulund Darwaza.
DAY 13: Agra
Tour the imposing Agra Fort, built of red sandstone and marble. End your day watching the sun set over the breathtaking Taj Mahal.
DAY 14: Agra/Delhi
After a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, travel overland towards Delhi, stopping en route at Sikandra.
DAYS 15-16: Delhi
Spend two days exploring the cultures and contrasts of both Old and New Delhi. Your Design Your Day options include a visit to three temples of Delhi: Sikh, Birla (Hindu) and Bahai; or perhaps explore the bustling shopping areas of "Delhi Haat." Celebrate an end to this fascinating journey with
fellow travellers over cocktails and a farewell dinner.
DAY 17: Delhi
