Day 01 Arrive Leh
Arrive Leh, assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon will be free.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 Dhanu Valley
Drive to Dahanu Valley, where Drokpa live. Buddhist in name, but racially and culturally distinct from the rest of the Ladakhis. Two of the five villages inhabited by them may now be visited, Dah and Beema. We will drive down the Indus, between Khaltse and the Shyok - Indus confluence to our camp at Beema. Overnight in camp at Beema.
Day 03 Beema & Dah Village
Today visit to Beema and Dah village, meet Drok-pa inhabitant a minuscule community of perhaps no more than a couple of thousand, their features and pure Indo-Aryan, and they have preserved their racial purity down the centuries. Overnight in camp at Beema.
Day 04 Basgo Fort
Today drive back to Leh via villages of Achinathang and Skurbachan. En-route you will visit the Basgo fort. Overnight in hotel.
Day 05 Drive to Pangong Lake
Early breakfast and drive of about 7 hrs to the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 ft. The route passes through the picturesque villages and over Chang-La (18,000 ft.). We camp just on the lake. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 Pangong Lake
Today explore the 130km long lake, which is bisected by the international border between India & China. We will also visit to summer homes of a scanty population of Chang-pa, the nomadic herds people of Tibet and SouthEast Ladakh. Overnight in tents.
Day 07 Drive to Leh
Today drive back to Leh (7 hrs.) Arrive Leh and check in at the hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 08 Alchi & Likir
Morning proceed for sightseeing to Alchi and Likir Gompa. Overnight in hotel.
Day 09 Leh
After breakfast, full day free to visit local market of Leh. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10 Fly Leh / Delhi and onward destination
After breakfast and transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and later transfer to the international airport and fly overseas.
